that Friday feeling.

Only intensified by it being mid-January, the lead up to moving at the end of next month has got me feeling a bit neither here nor there. In a surreal little spot of limbo that is echoed by the staggering of seasons. It's still cold outside, the magazines are filled with bright colours that call in the arrival of Spring, and next month we'll be inundated by Autumn/Winter shows that will inevitably send my little head spinning as it forces us to think even further into the future. For now though, it's one thing at a time and coffee on the roof in my favourite basics always seems a good way to start the day.

Wearing: Quiksilver gifted coat, borrowed black shearling gilet, American Apparel t-shirt, Urban Outfitters jeans, and Zara heels. Please note: this is the first time attempting self timer.

Inspired by: Burberry Prorsum

Don't get me wrong, Summer is by far my favourite season. Nothing beats flip flops, wash-and-go hair, long days, and sunshine... but I can't get Burberry Prorsum's Fall 2010 show out of my head and it's got me dreaming about next season's wardrobe upgrades. Never before has outerwear led to such a stir within my sheepskin-craving-heart. If I happened to have a spare grand sitting around I'd throw it all away on Acne's gorgeous black aviator jacket. It's the stuff dreams are made of... since I spotted it in the their shop in Stockholm earlier this month I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I want to wear it paired with a soft floaty sheer black dress like the one from Urban Outfitters and some chunky (but sensible) wedges. Gone are the days of me craving a pair of statement heels, that is... if it means I can squeeze my feet into these little Mentor beauties. Paired with some skinny jeans and an oversized khaki shirt? Fall 2010 sorted. All I need is the Patouf faux-fur to wrap around my neck and I'll be good to go. There we have it... my Autumn/Winter 2010 wishlist in a five piece mini-shopping basket. Done and dusted.

arm me in it...

It's no secret: Acne freaking rocks.
Let's be honest though, there is a lot of hype around the brand. Looking at their website can, at times, be a bit disheartening. Is all the hype really worth it? The prices are pretty high, a lot of the pieces are rather simple and aren't too dissimilar to what you might find in whole host of other shops. My Acne obsession, which has been festering for years, has recently started to wane. All I own by the brand is one pair of jeans. This isn't for lack of desire, I've been drooling over the Atacoma Wedges (which I happened to spot in their sale but sadly not in my size) for months. When I walked into their shop in Stockholm last week I was reminded of why the brand produces such covetable items and such a massive hype: quality. Not only is it a totally cool Swedish brand but its pieces really are little bits of treasure. I found myself running my fingers over the items hanging from the rails. Everything just felt beautifully soft. The fringed jacket I tried on fit perfectly and was cut like a dream. I spotted the most gorgeous sheepskin jacket (pictured above) that instantly shot to the top of my wish list. If only I had a few thousand pounds to blow on a new Autumn/Winter jacket... I swear, it would never leave my body. Then there were the armour plated jeans... a mere 1 grand, but surely worth it to channel the inner persona of a knight? Followed up by the Admire wedges in all their sci-fi leather strappy glory. Yep, that's right. Acne rocks. It might just require actually going into their shop to be reminded of why. Luckily, their flagship store is going to be opening in our very own London town...
