HI FROM LONDON FASHION WEEK...
Hello hello.
I'm writing to you from my comfy bed at the Fielding Hotel. It's 7:30pm and I'm all tucked in for the night. Party pooper? Maybe. But I can't help it. It just feels so right. Anyway. I just wanted to say a quick greeting from London Fashion Week. The mayhem kicked off yesterday at 10am for me with the Zoe Jordan show. Since then I've been to 10 shows. My favourite so far has been Zeynep Tosun. I was totally unfamiliar with the designer but was blown away by the show. Tomorrow is the day I'm looking forward to most though. I can't wait to see Charlie May's show and Topshop. Until then... see you later little monkeys.

CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH MOXHAM...
How gorgeous is the new Moxham look book? I'm completely obsessed with the oversized hardware. Madeline, the founder, has really taken the brand to the next level with this collection. It's completely covetable. The Osiris and Anubis necklaces are my absolute favourites. I love how they combine chunky metal detailing with leather. They've both been added to my mental wish list.

COVER ME IN SEQUINS...
I woke up this morning with thoughts of Ashish floating around inside my head - slouchy oversized white shirts and lots of sequins. All the models wore old school white Reeboks. They're so bad that they're somehow good. Ashish is always one of my favourite shows at London Fashion Week. I'd give my little pinky to have one of the oversized sequined T-shirts.
p.s. the scrunchie is clearly making a comeback.
LIFE'S A PHOTO...
This past weekend I travelled to Berlin with Samsung to celebrate the completion of their 'Life's a Photo' campaign. They ran an online photo competition to discover which city is the most photogenic and Berlin won with the most votes. We travelled around the city checking out sites in the afternoon. It was absolutely freezing cold but so much fun. We were all given a Samsung Galaxy camera to play with for the day. You can go online with it and even upload photos straight to Instagram. The camera is super easy to use and really great if you want something small that you can take on the go. The photos are better quality than I can get with my phone which makes it a great alternative to using my iPhone plus it's way lighter than my dSLR. Definitely a winner in my books.
Massive thanks to Samsung and Jam for inviting me to the event.

A LITTLE BIT IN BETWEEN...
Freezing temperatures have meant that I've been staying inside cuddled up under a blanket most days. How did over a week go by without me posting anything on this blog? I've just started taking an intensive German class so my mind is tuned into arbeitens and Deutsch instead of fashion. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I still love this blog but I do feel as though I've come up against a bit of a brick wall. Does anyone else ever feel that way? I'm not sure what I want to post about and outfit shots just seem so mundane these days. How many photos can you see of me snuggled up in a warm coat? Fashion week is coming up in a few weeks so hopefully that will give me an injection of inspiration. In the meantime here's a shot of me from yesterday wearing a casual low maintenance outfit. I'm loving burgundy legs and wooly jumpers these days.

STARING INTO OBLIVION...
Wandering around Stockholm in head-to-toe Swedish brands makes me feel happy in my heart. I wish everyday could include late wake ups and latte fueled walks through the snow. I'm currently obsessed with this pleated back coat from Patouf. It's so unique and perfect for wrapping up in.
Wearing: Patouf Anouschka coat and Edith shoes, Acne jeans.
FALLING BETWEEN THE GAP...
While driving over to downtown St Louis to scout graffiti walls it occurred to me that blogging is a very strange thing indeed. Do I spend my days lazily leaning against paint splattered walls? No. Am I willing to drive across town in search for one to take a picture by? Yes.
When Gap asked me to pick out my favourite items from their current collection to be put into a Christmas wish list I jumped at the opportunity. The brand has long been one of my favourites. Whenever I'm back in the US I make a beeline for their shop to stock up on basics - as I'm sure you already know, they're the best.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HERE AND THERE...
I love new pieces of technology. Ever since I received this Samsung Galaxy Note it has been glued to my side. I use it mostly for just browsing the web. It's a great little companion and looks super cute tucked inside this Nicholas Kirkwood graphic leather case.
These photos were taken on a rainy day last week in Zurich. I'm currently in the US on holiday with my family and it feels like these photos are from a million miles away. I'm out here for the next few weeks so expect lots of cheesy American themed photo shoots coming up.

CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH RED...
I'm usually really not into red. I think it's a bit brash and doesn't really suit me. Lately though I've taken a liking to it. Next to pale skin it brings a burst of colour that makes winter skin feel a bit more lively. I'm currently obsessed with this YSL rouge volupte lipstick. Whack it on with even the dullest of outfits and suddenly everything feels a bit more fabulous. I've also pulled out this old buffalo checked red flannel shirt from the bottom of my wardrobe - it's perfect for chilly days.
Hope you're enjoying the transition into winter. xx
CHARLIE MAY SS13...
During London Fashion Week one of the shows I was most looking forward to was Charlie Mays. This was the first season that Charlie put on a catwalk show and I was so excited to see her collection saunter down the runway. On the day I got to shoot some of the action backstage before the show. Everything was so organized and well run. You wouldn't at all expect that this was just Charlie's third season showing.
The SS13 collection is absolutely stunning. The first look that came down the catwalk was a top and trouser velvet combo in a shade of icy blue. It was my favourite look from the entire collection and I can just imagine myself wearing it now (perfection). There's also a nude coloured biker jacket, asymmetric shorts and classic white silk shirts that would be incredibly useful in anyone's wardrobe. Charlie's collections just keep getting better and better each season as she hones in what her design aesthetic is. I already can't wait to see what see what's in store for next season.
ASOS AFRICA...
I love this season's Asos Africa collection. The bold prints, grey marled tops and slouchy shapes are straight up my street. The black and white houndstooth outfit is my absolute favourite. I love the peplum shaped jacket and the flared out shorts.
The collection has definitely got me craving a bit of an Asos shopping spree.
LITTLE PINK BUNNY EARS...
This time last week I was in Berlin shooting the look book for German based cashmere brand Muriee. We had loads of fun, ate tons of cookies and spent one day walking around the city taking street style type photos. This is my favourite outfit that I wore on the day. Just a simple outfit with wide legged jeans and a super cuddly tan coloured cashmere jumper. The best part of the look though was the pink beanie that had cute little ears. I love the idea of taking something as classic as a cashmere hat and making it youthful and fun.

TOMMY HILFIGER FOR BREAST HEALTH INTERNATIONAL..
Tommy Hilfiger have teamed up with Breast Cancer International to create this gorgeous slouchy navy bag. For each bag sold €100 will be donated to the charity. I really like the red and white colour accents and the roomy shape. There's nothing I love more than fashion that gives back to a good cause. Charlotte Gainsbourg is the ambassador for this years collaboration and for the campaign she was shot by Drew Barrymore. You can view a video featuring Charlotte here and you can get your hands on the bag at the online shop.
MY AUTUMN UNIFORM...
I tend to get in a bit of a funk when it comes to getting dressed. When I find a formula I like I just stick with it. Lately that formula has been this leather jacket, skinny jeans and soft jumpers. This is all I've been wearing lately and I have no desire to change it. It's simple and basic - nothing revolutionary about it at all. But I don't care because I like it. These photos were taken a few weeks ago when I was in Paris. The leaves at the Tuileries were changing colours and it was incredibly beautiful.
Wearing: Paul & Joe Sister jacket, Muriee scarf and jumper, 7 for all Mankind jeans and Isabel Marant sneakers (stolen from Shini).

DREAMY FLORALS AT AMINAKA WILMONT...
The first dress that cam sauntering down the catwalk at the Aminaka Wilmont show had my heart buckling. The peachy lavender shades were beautiful and the shape of the dress so flattering. I love the tiny thin belt that sits at the waist and the twisted detail at the hips. My favourite looks from the show were the ones that incorporated this melted flower print seen above - it's so dreamy and soft. I love that Aminaka Wilmont takes such a feminine print but puts it on edgier pieces. The little white biker jacket with the grey printed short dress was one of my favourite looks from the collection - it's definitely something I'd wear head-to-toe.
Massive thank you to Mercedes and Sarwah for inviting me along.
