YOU’RE INVITED: VVVINTAGE TEA PARTY…

Have you heard of VVVintage?

It’s a new vintage clothing shop established by songstress extraordinaire VV Brown. A few weeks ago, when I was in London, I had the chance to meet up with VV for a drink with fellow music buff Nik Thakkar. We talked about everything from Eminem to eavesdropping and I instantly warmed to the entrepreneur. VV has taken a little break from music to pursue a project she’s passionate about: up-cycling clothes. ‘We waste so much in the west,’ explains VV, ‘and the idea that most of our clothes goes to land fill is a sad concept. Vintage and recycling materials is a great way to help the environment and the community.’ I couldn’t agree more.

On Sunday June 24th VV is going to be hosting a tea party alongside Just My Cup of Tea to help celebrate VVVintage. Since I can’t be there myself I’ve requested to have two of my readers attend the event in my place. So, who wants to go?

Leave a comment to be entered into a competition to win the two tickets. Please note: the event will be taking place in London and I sadly cannot cover the cost of airfare/travel. Explain to me why you want to attend and you’ll have a better chance of winning.

Of course you can enter silly.

p.s. I want the clothes on the boy too! Minus that hat… I don’t think I could rock that. It looks very Pixie Geldof. I could see her in the whole outfit. xx

      • Score! Put my name in that hat, I’d love to say I could pull it off but I’d probably look like a middle aged women having a crisis… that’s not to say i wouldn’t try ;)

  • I love VV Brown!
Her song “Shark in the Water” is permanently stuck in my head. I think I’ve annoyed the heck out of everyone around me this past year by singing that song all the time :)

I wish I lived in London so I could go to the VVVintage tea party…it sounds so cool.
VV Brown+vintage+tea party. What could possibly be bad about it?!

I’ll be super jealous of whoever gets to go!!

      Alice,

Thanks for your kind comment. After I met VV I had Shark in the Water stuck in my head for about three days. It is so good! Maybe we can do some sort of competition in the future that ins’t limited to just London.

      xx

  • I want to attend this Jen because live for vintage, even if that means shopping in the woman’s section (top secret don’t tell anyone). Finding your size, style and of course a bargain price is what’s vintage is about. Tackling the endless rails of historic second hand designs, edgy and unique one off peice’s is what can be established with me lol… Now that you’ve shared the online vintage store VVVintage, it just takes a browse and a click and sustainability with recycling oh yeahh..

A Tea part event, this is a first! Thanks for sharing Jen

  • I love that this is happening. I’ve always been dedicated to buying pieces and investing in clothes that will last me (or whomever I pass them on to) for a long long time. The whole up-cycling movement is something I totally believe in and I’m thrilled to now have another awesome vintage store to cruise through in London. YAYAYAYAY! Thanks for the hat tip, Jen!

  • I would love to win the tickets because I love everything and anything vintage! Looking to jazz up my summer wardrobe…for when it eventually arrives and generally would love to be doing this on sunday than lying hungover in bed.

    Love the blog
