surprise!
After ‘umm-ing’ and ‘ahhhh-ing’ for ages I finally decided to bite the bullet and order a pair of wedges from my-wardrobe. The problem was, as you might have read, they didn’t have my favourite pair in the right size. Instead of opting for second best, I went for my top choice (in one size too small) in the hope that they would magically fit. If you follow me on Twitter you might know that I was keeping them a secret. I was afraid that if I started getting too excited it would somehow jinx it. Well, they just arrived and I am beyond pleased to say that they are perfect (I think the shoe fairy has been at work on this one). So, here they are in all their 10cm high glory…. my new Mentor suede lace up wedges. They don’t look like much in the photo but they are gorgeous, so soft to walk in, and my new favourite shoes. I’m wearing them around the house but keeping their street initiation saved for a special occasion next month….
YAYY!!!!!!!!!!! So happy you got them, sometimes the shoe fairy does indeed deliver, I say its always worth trying a size either way as Ive got shoes in 5, 5.5 and 6!!
Puurfect! They look much nicer on a ‘blogger photo’ than they look on the web pages.

Oh they’re gorgeous!! Congratulations. I love all the packaging, too. You should really keep the ‘my’ tag on, Jen, like a little charm bracelet round your ankle. I had read an article about the founder of net-a-porter, and how she wanted to use these big expensive boxes and her husband was against it but her feeling was ‘if someone is going to make that leap of faith and buy something online – if they’re not going to have the experience of being in a shop – they should have something to show for it’.
I haven’t ordered anything online from anyone – not net, not my-wardrobe (yet) and I’m really in love with the packaging as well as the shoes. Have you saved that navy ribbon? I’d use it for something, it’s a beautiful colour.
Isabelle’s advice about that spray, I keep forgetting I must get it for my own suede wedges. Reminder to self ; )
Can’t wait to see you in.. wow, two days. Will you be wearing The Shoes then? What’s the special occasion next month? Is it a secret special occasion? Can you do a photo shoot in them for us in the meantime?
