new Equipment…
Before dozing off to bed, following a very busy week, I just wanted to give you a little peek into some gorgeous little things I saw at the My-Wardobe Spring 2011 press day. These were my favourites, along with an insanely perfect 3.1 Philip Lim black number that was just about heaven encapsulated in a handbag. There were off beat quirky statement pieces, read entirely sequined trousers and dominatrix studded heels, alongside simple jersey and knock-out jewels: the sort of items a normal girl could work into her wardrobe. By ‘normal’ I mean non-highflyer trust-fund-less lasses… and wholeheartedly throw myself into the category. Sure, I don’t buy a Mulberry bag every week or Acne wedges each time I’m feeling down but I’m willing to check out of the Primark crass and instead pull my pennies together for items I really love. Cue My-Wardrobe, with their everyday lux pieces that put a bit of sparkle and speciality into normality. It’s a mantra I can whole heartedly get behind and has made the brand my favourite online retailer.
Thanks Susie for inviting me down and introducing me to the new line. It’s a total stunner.

Great killer shoes to open the post with, I am sure the entire selection must have been fab. x
Great shoes!
Those shoes and that purse are so gorgeous!

Those sherbert colored shirts are so delicious! Bet they would look stunning with gray trousers!
Are you sure those shoes are legal? They look like a weapon to me. The purse is lovely!
Oh my goodness, the studded shoes! WOW
oh the shoes. swoon.

Those shoes are FIERCE- as is the gorgeous little Mulberry number.
Beautiful choices, Jen. I’m finding I’m thinking about that My Wardrobe event constantly: there was so much that really impressed me. They’ve got a great eye for choosing talent, choosing the best of each designer. And I love these choices.
I really agree that it’s worth saving our pennies to get a few items for our wardrobe that we LOVE. Down with ‘fast fashion’ – junk food fashion.
Didn’t even see those shoes! I’ll have to do my picks soon. Today’s was just on favourite My Wardrobe cocktail rings.
Hope you’re having a lovely warm Saturday. xo
that sarah curran is running a neat operation at my-wardrope.com and i’m a big admirer of her’s.
she has this ‘accessible luxury’ thing sussed out. no wonder those boys at Balderton Capital gave her close to six million quid to invest in her company.
kudos to her.
an investment in the right people has brought this company to stand out amongst a cornucopia of online fashion retailers.
Wow, amazing shoes and the silk shirts are absolutely perfect – i want all of them, i love love love equipment shirts.
and i agree about my-wardrobe – they got in there where net-a-porter and asos haven’t been and won’t go away for sure
wonder how matches is doing these days. and browns is nice but their website is so antiquated and cumbersome it’s almost cute. good service they offer though.

Ahh, work kept me from this press day, but those studded heels and soft-as-air silk Equipment shirts are beee-uuutiful! Couldn’t agree with you more about saving up for special items – although I’m on a proper salary now, even as a student I refused ‘fast fashion’ and saved and saved for items I truly loved. And most of them I still wear today, years later – because they were good quality to begin with, and because I still love them as much today. Besides, even if you only have one bag, you’ll always look better if it’s a knockout that you’ve saved up for (over 10 cheap bags that will always look cheap).
Miss B xx
Thanks Jen! I’m excited too
ooh wow what a lush press day that must have been! I’m swooning over the mulberry! Also loving dani rocking that ear rock! Hehe would never have thought it was from river island! So cool.. hopefully see you soon! Xxx
