LOUISE GRAY A/W 12…

I’m big time crushing on Louise Gray’s a/w 12 collection.

I love the bold two-tone prints, the knee high boots and the unexpected layering. Bras worn over T-shirts and spaghetti strap dresses paired over chunky knits. It sounds so wrong but somehow it’s so very right. When you break down the collection the pieces are actually super simple and wearable – there are lots of little dresses, straight skirts and thick cardigans. Perfect for wearing on their own or, for a real statement, all together with a Nasir Mazhar mohawk headpiece. Yes please.

  • I can’t wait to see you start the trend of wearing the mohawk headpiece. Why wear floral headpiece when you can be fierce like this? I’m not sure about all the pattern-blocking, I think my brain is hurting from how amazing all these pieces would be separately but not together!

  • Ohhhhhh man. That bra is just EPIC.

  • I love Louise Gray, her clothes seem to have the most amazing texture, I’ve always been keen on her collarless jackets, BEAUT xxx

  • Perfect styling.

  • Amazing photos!! So bright and such a great edit. Alas I wasn’t invited this season… Not sure why, I’ve been to her shows for the past couple of years and even went to her launch for Brora last season. I guess it’s a new PR company :-)

It’s always really hard to take in her collections on the runway – all I see is COLOUR COLOUR PRINT COLOUR HATS. It’s now that you can take each look apart for the brilliant individual pieces. I’d love to see you in the cardigan, second to last photo.

  • the first thing that came o my mind as I scrolled down was “how the hell would I wear these in the office” Idjit. I couldn’t. But I love the boots. Headpiece not so much… but I like this unexpected order of layering :)

  • A look at first glance, my reaction was like : wow ! but it’s really very special ! Who can wear this kind of clothes every day ?
Then I look at the pictures again and I said : But what originality ! If you choose a room and not make a melting pot is more than feasible to wear a dress or a cartigan. After, we must remain basic !

    Have a nice day, xx

  • Ah I love her (I was so sad I missed this show due to work… !)

ps. love that you made it to the top UK bloggers on an IFB article. You are definitely one of my big blog crushes!

  • Well all of the patterns are sick, and so are the boots! This is my first time hearing of this designer so thanks for sharing!
