It’s nice to be back in your quarters and to stomp my clogs along your uneven cobbled paths. Despite your choice to throw down buckets of rain and wind, you’ve managed to call me back again. Your streets are noisy and polluted, your commuters deluded and rushed. You hummm with an intoxicating energy that never ceases and it reminds me of the necessity of being ever resilient. I think the sun is supposed to be back tomorrow (crossing fingers–you never can tell from weather forecasts here). Love those Swedish Hasbeen for H&M shoes btw. I wasn’t sure how I felt about them, but they look amazing on you (and I saw some images of SJP rocking them the other day too).

Bahhh. Come back to Zurich! Its sweltering. Reckon I might slope off early and go swimming in cool and crisp alpine waters that pass by our apartment. Then sit on our balcony, cold beer in hand watching the Zuricean families pass by like little cogs in a frighteningly efficient clock. As I breathe deeply, the glacial night air rolling in off the mountains and contemplate whether the lack of dirt necessarily precludes art and culture. Or, if as Thoreau may argue, nature (which is abundant in this part of the world) can supersede the smoke and electricity of big city inspiration. Anyways, come home (as you can tell Im pretty bored)

luckily today I HAVE an activity (apart from the obligatory science stuff… booOOooring). Am making lots of those bracelets. Although I could never claim to know what it must feel like being a sweatshop worker, I am pretty sweaty and my hands are all burnt from melding pieces of rope together ANNND Im not even getting paid!
As for a men’s section, Im flattered. However, I feel that my own style is pretty poor (its looked down upon to dress well to work… science that is, not bracelet manufacturing). Today, for example, I am wearing a Made in the Shade tshirt with a large food stain down the front and pair of blue Farah shorts which are missing the top button on the fly. But like my dad says, you don’t need to dance the ballet to be a ballet critic.
