COVER ME IN SEQUINS…
I woke up this morning with thoughts of Ashish floating around inside my head – slouchy oversized white shirts and lots of sequins. All the models wore old school white Reeboks. They’re so bad that they’re somehow good. Ashish is always one of my favourite shows at London Fashion Week. I’d give my little pinky to have one of the oversized sequined T-shirts.
p.s. the scrunchie is clearly making a comeback.

Ohhh I didn’t get to see this show but I liked it A LOT, especially the sequinned slouchy socks with the Adidas originals like you said, didn’t notice how they did the sheer dotted thing over the shirt, love that as well!

You’ve reminded me that I used to want white high top Reeboks! Kind of obsessed with the print and wispy texture of that sheer skirt. It’s pretty dreamy.
This must have been the models’ favorite show, for lack of having to stuff their feet into-too-small shoes/ have their booties on display for all fashion pervs in the front row to gawk at. Good times, good times.

LOVE that long sequined dress. I like the combination with those horrible shoes just because it’s so crazy and eclectic, and I often wear similar combinations of glamorous clothing items with comfy, excessively casual shoes. However, I’d like to have seen more color- those shoes would have looked awesome in different colors. At least this way the textures get to have the spotlight rather than the color palette.

Oh god, this really isn’t helping my recently acquired sequin obsession! Hah! I’ve gone from having no sequins to a small pile of them…
The long dress is really gorgeous, love that subtle gradient from silver to gold & how cute is the tulle polka skirt?! I think I might have to make myself one of those!

Bling bling! Sequins? yes please! And also you are so right for those Reeboks, so bad… but they go perfectly with the collection. As for the scrunchie, my only and immediate thought was the one of that episode of SATC whith Carrie and Berger, and his book about Manhattan, when she said “No women who works at W-magazine and lives on Perry Street would be caught dead at a hip downtown restaurant wearing a scrunchie!”.. But I also remember that ancient time in the `90s when this was a part of my everyday school uniform. Not to be repeated. Ever!
Tres fatigue is right. Reebok Classics + sequined socks are my takeaway from that collection though. Love them individually, perfect together. x
Not sure how I feel about the return of the scrunchy, it’s a decidely 90s trend that I think should be kept there, non? But I’m loving everything else, the crazy mix of textures and comfortable shoes
