california dreamin…
London got an injection of laid back California cool a couple of weeks ago when Beth Jones and Laurel Daily descended onto our wee little capital on behalf of Quicksilver Women. The roof top of the Zepher hotel was transformed into a dressing up box fit for a 25 year old with a big spread of the brands new Autumn/Winter collection. Shini and I were lucky enough to get to play dress up with all the items and then prance around the nearby streets while we got our photo taken. It was such a fun day and, although I’ve said it before, this reconnection with one of my favourite teenage so-cal brands has sparked a new love affair. Sitting at the top of my wish list is their army green parka (yet to hit shops), ‘set list’ silk tank, and the ‘wall to wall’ cardigan. Definitely be sure to check out their look book to see what the company is all about, it’s a lot more than board shorts and bikinis.
Wearing: ‘Aftermath Dress’ and Beth’s hat, bracelet, ring, and shoes (I went a bit mental on her suitcase…). Shini wears: ‘Bombshell Dress’, Quicksilver red top, own shoes, and Beth’s hat.
Photos taken by Laurel Daily.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that bracelet xx
Quicksilver has suddenly grown up, me likey. Your legs look amazing in these shots – is that tan real (it looks it) but if not can you let me know what you use?! Ta x
the tan was real! it has seriously faded though. it was courtesy of Sweden… xx
yooooo wooooo tooooo ahhhh sexy girls!
Love the hat girls!
It annoys me that you are so photogenic lady!
You look stunning in every single shot. I love that hat on you btw. The one of you standing together, where you’re the same height (?) is the best
xx
haha thanks. i know, i totally thought i was taller than shini… but turns out we are height twins. will have to investigate this further.
was lovely meeting you ladies! hopefully we’ll have many more play dress up days!
That second picture is lovely, like a cheeky modern take on British ladylike style! The black cab in the background, the floppy hats and the tough footwear makes such an interesting combination.
love your outfit!

what a fun day, you both look amazing!
ohh, these photographs are lovely! i especially adore the third shot: for starters you both look beautiful, the lighting is great, and i love how you are kind of mirroring each other. the composition is also brilliant, how the background has seperated you and shini, spliting the picture into two.

I love your look here! The hat suits you well!
your bracelet is lovely

omg i love that first shot of you! it’s perfect!
these photos are so lovely
Beautiful shots. Love the first one especially! You are lighting up the camera!
Looks like such fun. Gorgeous shots. Also so glad you won Marie Claire! (did you see: the last thing before I packed the laptop I asked people to vote for you). Something freaky is going on – don’t seem to have text OR email but if you read this – my cell phone seems to work if you want to call. Hope to see you soon. Love this post. So you & Shini are height twins after all, who knew. xo
What a BEAUTIFUL photo of you my love! (the first is my fave) Hope all’s good with you xx
These are such beautiful photographs! I especially love the second image – they’re all lovely, of course, but I think it’s adorable how candid is it and you both look fabulous! I can’t wait to see the army green parka when it comes out … I’ve been obsessed with the utilitarian look this season.
i love the cut offs in your dress! i was going to buy a similar cut off of a slouchy tee, but at the last minute i let it go. anyways, great look!
Love the shot of you and Shini like mirror images (I can’t actually tell if it’s one photo or two next to each other). This cut out dress and hat outfit looks great on you, Jen x
