Breakfast with the birds.
As far as I’m concerned, any day that begins with a very foamy latte and a pastry is a very good day indeed. Spent the morning engaging in an impromptu German lesson facilitated by a napkin, making friends with some birds, and discovering the charming little space by my flat called Spheres. It’s a bookshop plus a cafe and it might just become my favourite local hangout.

Ah, my rusty Deutsch says that the postcard on the right says “God does’t play dice” and the one on the left, well, I know what the words mean individually, but can’t translate the meaning when I put them together without Google Translate
(both must be German idiomatic phrases). Like the photo where you’ve written out 1-10 auf Deutch

That café sure looks lovely. And how nice you’re learning German! It’s EINS, with an ‘s’ when just counting to ten. If you say ‘a bird’ – ‘ein vogel’, it’s just EIN. Geeez, I’m so glad it’s my mothertongue, Germand must be so difficult
But I’m sure you’ll manage
