Balmain baby.

I never fell that hard for Balmainia the first time around. Tennis balls in the shoulders of jackets and destroyed denim? I’ve got a strong enough shoulder as it is, thank you very much, and I know how to put a cheese grater to good use. I’ve got to say though, the Balmain Resort 2012 collection has gotten me feeling a bit stir crazy. It’s more grown up and refined. Plus, I know it’s pretty simple but I love the shape of those trousers – they look a bit like hooves. Don’t ask me why that’s a good thing.
The simple clean lined jackets (especially the black one in the middle), the buttons up the side of the legs to the knee, the psychedelic mirrored prints, and slouchy simple t-shirts tucked in… so good. The only question left spinning in my head is which combination Emmanuelle Alt will be rocking in September?

Middle outfit, WANT WANT WANT! x
Oh those jackets! Yes, the black one is stunning, what a refreshing cut! And the first white one with the sequins? Totally inappropriate for any moment in my life, but totally amazing and fabulous. Gorgeous stuff!

Lovin the designs… My main question these days is – if C. Decarnin has left to god-knows-where who is actually designing at Balmain? The lady with whom I’m doing the styling course has worked for Balmain but she’s rather tight-lipped about the going-ons there. Shame. xo
Completely agree with you about this collection. Love all the gold details as well. I’m a fan of the jackets (my fav is the first white one) and the overall styling is on point, down to the belts.
xx, becs
For me it was love at first sight with Balmain. From the very first sight…
Wonderful! The second outfit is my favourite.

Ohh my. I’m in love with this: the pants are what get me.
I’m in love with the skinny/bell bottom clash.
It’s a hint of 70′s without going overboard on the flare leg.
soo perfect.
