a place for great ideas…
Great ideas always come to me as I’m trying to fall asleep. Only, in the morning, when I try to recall what they were… they often don’t seem quite as remarkable as they did the night before. Surely I’ve forgotten the key to the perfect plan, the ultimate blog post, the revolutionary book… or maybe they weren’t actually that impressive to begin with? Regardless, I came back to Oxford today to find this special little gift from my parents who always believe in my ideas, no matter how ridiculous they are. Thanks Mom and Dad. Now I have a place for all my great ideas.

Smythson notebook featured.
I have kept a notebook near my bed since I began writing in fifth grade…trust me, that is a long time ago!! My best ideas have come at night and it just serves me well to keep a notebook and pen in a basket at the foot of my pillow! BUT, this notebook is not as classy and beautiful as yours!!

What a great gift. I think a lot of us could do with a notebook beside the bed, I have always forgotten things by the morning, usually stuff I need from the supermarket, so would love one of those!

Like I say on my blog profile, I’ve kept a diary since I was five and I am never without blank paper now. Happy New Year and remember to scritch your dreams down too – the mind is a crazy tool
